How Perio Protect Works

Dr. Sato will fit you with custom made trays, similar to athletic mouthguards. A special antibiotic gel is formulated and placed inside of the trays. The antibiotic gel seeps in above and below the gumline which begins to eliminate all bacteria and calculus (tartar).

Based on your diagnosis, an instruction sheet outlining frequency of wear is given to you to take home. The entire treatment is done in the comfort of your own home. You will notice, as treatment progresses, that your teeth will become whiter while your breath becomes fresher.

During occasional follow up visits in our office, our hygienist will gently remove any remaining softened deposits and evaluate the progress of treatment. The visits will be quick, easy, and painless.
